About Longship Brewery

Since the 9th century, the Viking longship has been a symbol and a vessel of exploration, trade, and cultural exchange. The pride of the nordic people was their ability to cross the oceans in ways that no other people had done before. There was an explosion of teams at Longship Brewery tonight. Fourteen teams rowed their longboats to the docks, sallied forth, and took to the trivia arena. The competition was fierce, and the excitement did not disappoint.

Not only was there an explosion of teams, but there was an explosion of points. Fourteen seemed to be the theme of the evening, as four teams started off the game with fourteen points right in the first round. The double or nothings were in full force as seven teams hit perfect scores in round two for double points. It was almost hard to keep up with the lead changes.

Popcorn Shrimp took an early lead and would battle tooth and nail to hold on it till the bitter end. They were harried and pestered by the Blue Barracudas and the PQ Legends. Crowd favorites...to some...Indifferent Penguins, hung around and kept clawing back as best the could, considering penguins don't really have claws.

In the end:

3rd Place: Blue Barracudas
2nd Place: Popcorn Shrimp
1st Place: The Indifferent Penguins

New team, T-RANe won the beer round. We are going to be taking a trip to Pennsylvania, so we asked our teams to correctly spell some of the interestingly named town in our home state:
