SURVEY SLAM RECAP

The stage was set, and the climax of Gray Barn arrived tonight. Our regulars all showed for the final game, determined to win the title and glory of Survey Slam champion! Teams traded back and forth, and I said Mackenzie waaaaaay too many times to count. But the Favorite Customers proved why they're number one, having a perfect Rank & File AND Poll Position round. At 42 points, they stand true as the Champion of Survey Slam! As a last farewell to one of my favorite venues, the best bartender ever and I agreed that we HAD to get a selfie together! Hopefully that thing with the three peace signs isn't some weird cult symbol, but ANYWAYS-

Thank you so much Gray Barn! I won't be hosting anymore, but I'll definitely keep coming back to such a great place!

Tonight featured a fun crowd of our regulars...as well as some late entrants, who were able to have their own competition for the final rounds! After our Top 5 round, Not Mackenzie's Team put herself into first place. That lead got cemented after Rank & File, where she got the exact order correct! It all came down to our tied players. Favorite Customers vs Stacy...Jimi Mac vs 1 Hit Wonders...! The Favorite Customers were barely able to squeeze ahead in Round 7, and Jimi Mac & 1 Hit Wonders ended up tying! They both got the secret 4th place prize...an enthusiastic high five! I decided to watch the Bruins game afterwards to celebrate such a climactic game...and is that a $5 Bloody Mary? I'll have to come back for that!

Tonight was a night that featured one beautiful thing - the comeback! Our teams came to compete, ending up neck and neck for the early rounds. The midgame changed everything though, with Team Laurie managing to land the Double or Nothing! It was quite the shock for the other teams, who tried to catch up. But at the end of it all, Team Laurie cemented their lead with the final round. Their victory will reign proud and mighty for the people of Whitinsville! The bartender and I took a celebratory picture tonight, since it's our last time seeing each other for a bit!
