QUIZ RECAP

The dodgers were at it again but this week it wasn't crazy like last week so I and I think our king trivia enthusiasts are grateful! Was able to set up and start on time. The meetup group Pasadena Peeps has been thriving, their group has been so big for weeks that they have had to divide a la mitosis into two groups. I could see the virtual spindle fibers at work. They prevailed once again with the top two spots and Trivia Rodrigo (they also grew by 2x) took third. It was Team Keanu that perfected the drinking round. I asked the teams to name off the six direwolves raised by the Stark children in A Game of Thrones. They got all six right (Greywind, Lady, Summer, Nymeria, Shaggydog and Ghost). See you next week with hopefully no sports crowdedness fiascos!

QUIZ RECAP

It was an epic evening with a long wait for the Dodgers/Giants baseball playoff game at Barney's. And then there was a tie score still in the 8th inning. Would we go into extra innings? Dodgers clinched the series with a run scored.  Lots of opportunities for songs in movies due to the questions and rounds tonight.  

The Pasadena Peeps took third, eking it out against Frendan Braser by one point, with their satellite team the Beeps taking second. Welcome back to veteran team Purple Monkey Dishwasher, they had missed a few weeks, and they took the top spot tonight.

It's cooling down enough that I had to wear a beanie to keep the noggin and ears warm, not to mention a sweater. Which is definitely welcome, seeing that I love autumn weather. 

Good music, good company, some new teams. I even procured a small white board which is perfect for the new join code each week. 

It was a Pasadena Peeps game for most of the evening but in the end it was their satellite team, the Pasadena Beeps that prevailed, coming from behind in the last round. Peeps took second (and the drinking round!) with Trivia Rodrigo placing for the first time with third.

In homage to Edgar Allen Poe passing on this day in 1849, I had them write as many Poe short story titles as they could think of for the drinking round. The Peeps won with six correct (see pix for their answers).
