Happy Valentine's Trivia! While most of the usual crew for 1739 Public House trivia night was out having romantic dinners with their S.O. or themselves, the die-hards were out at trivia, romancing those answer sheets with their best thinking.
New/old-comers Fear of Flying gave our recent regulars a run for their money, but fell just short of besting champs Bruce Jennertalia, who leapt into first place with a well-timed Double or Nothing in the 6th round. In third place was the ever-delightful The Number of Homeless Dudes Sean Has Blown Is.... Warnings to watch and/or wash each others' backs bounced between those top three finishers... it sounds like there's more trash-talking to come. The drama is heating up on Wednesday nights!!
For our Drinking Bonus Round we did a V-Day classic: Best-Worst Pick-Up Line. The submissions were... let's say, terrifying. It was a tough call to pick the best one, but our guest DJ for the evening ended up giving the boozy final prize to Girth Reynolds, in a move that surprised, well, everyone. For your entertainment/horror, here were the submissions:
