Howdy y’all. We can’t wait to have ya come kick up your boots and stay awhile at El Tejano, Los Angeles’ ultimate Tex Mex hangout. The plan is to serve the usual suspects: enchiladas, queso, Frito Pie, in and amazing indoor/outdoor relaxed environment. And don’t forget the margaritas: frozen, on the rocks, with a beer in it for all we care. Just get here quick for great grub and a huge outdoor patio chalk full of games to play and TVs to watch.
After a little bit of a late start due to the sportball game, Trivia at El Tejano got off to a rousing start this week, as 13 teams competed for supremacy (and gift certificates and free drinks!) and I took my place as the official regular host for this awesome venue! A lot of teams were competing for the first time, and word was many of them will be back!
At the final buzzer (see that? I know some sports things) the team that won was the ONLY team to have a successful Double-or-Nothing round, and Keep It Going Loser took home the top prize. Sun Assembly Required snagged second place and Young Jags grabbed third place.
As for yours truly, Quizmaster Travis Richey, my second favorite thing about El Tejano (second only to the awesome people, but it's a pretty close call) is the FOOD! This week I dined on a hard shell taco plate and a California Cobb salad, which is one of the best things ever!
