Elysian-Tangletown opened in 2003 in the south Greenlake area of Seattle. With only 80 seats, Tangletown offers an intimate, neighborhood brewery/bistro experience and feels reminiscent of European cafes. Experimental, festival and one-off specialty beers are brewed on site, some of which make it into general production and provide an exciting array of new (and favorite old) beers. The Avatar Jasmine IPA was first brewed here.
For being my first official hosting night, it was great having the majority of teams be first-timers too! The Fathi Trolls went for an early double-or-nothing in the first round, but fell short, and sadly, left the game during round 3 to go home. It was a close game up until the 5th round when the Dads 4 Tax Cuts ran with the lead on a successful double-or-nothing (and a second one back-to-back, for that matter!) The game ended with a tie for 3rd place between These Pretzels Are Making Me Thirsty and Suck It, Trebek, and Suck It, Trebek came out on top with the tie-breaking question. Flavor Flave came up in 2nd place, and the double-or-nothing masters, Dads 4 Tax Cuts, won the night with 69 points!
