QUIZ RECAP

What a wildly festive night we had at trivia this Wednesday as we had four phenomenal teams all joining in on the fun.

XYZ started out as one member, then recruited another member and soon enlisted two others by Round Six and even got some lifeline help from another trio who popped into the bar.

I Lost My Virginity At... were our tried and true regulars who were riding the high of being told that they are very close to the Top 100 for qualifying for League Play!

So everyone get your tickets now for the Tournament of Champions to potentially come cheer on I Lost My Virginity At...

One of my other new teams included The Salty Pretzels whose members were regulars at GOAL on every night except Wednesday. I first encountered them in mid-October when Paul was coming by to celebrate his birthday and he and Teddy got introduced to trivia for the first time on a Wednesday and said they'd be back!

Well, two months later, they made good on their promise and they did very, very well!

And my other new team of the night was Trump is Putin's Whore who gave such a strong showing for being a team of two against a team of ten, team of six, and team of a snowballing four-six.

Despite how Trump is Putin's Whore noted they knew neither the LEGO Disney characters or 90s theme show songs, they sure knew their electoral college states -- and knew when to double down at the right time!

They ended up winning by one point!!

And they were charging their phone with me the whole time so we know they were genuine history and political buffs!

And they can't wait to come back and defend their championship title soon.

Clever (though incorrect) guesses:

Right answer -- Thundercats!

And for Round 4, both Trump is Putin's Whore and XYZ guessed David Hasselhoff while my Salty Pretzels guessed Arsenio Hall and XYZ's new recruit tried to guess Eddie Murphy even after their team had turned in their sheet!

I Lost My Virginity At... got Martin Lawrence right though!

They also won the Drinking Round, guessing three of the five quotes I named from Christmas movies.

While some of y'all just put down random Christmas movies like A Christmas Carol, Frosty the Snowman, and Miracle on 34th Street.

I can't wait to see everyone next week to deliver Q's 6-10 of the holiday-themed drinking round where I name more quotes from Christmas movies! So brush up on those movies now 🙂
