The Pub at Golden Road is a full-service, family-friendly environment located just a stone’s throw from Griffith Park in Atwater Village. Open 7 days a week, The Pub offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, over a dozen Golden Road beers on tap, and games for the young (and young at heart).
Your humble quizmaster is no slave to conventionality! So today, we honor NOT the top three teams listed in this week's scorecard. Oh no! They won, after all, and are even now basking in the warm glow of victory and Golden Road Gift Certificates.
No...today, instead, we pay homage to those intrepid quizzers who found themselves just a bit outside of the warm glow of victory: the score sheet "close, but no cigar" folks who landed in the 4-7 slots.
I speak, of course, of the aptly named The Miscreants, whose excellent 56-point performance would have been good enough to win on many nights. Frequent flyers The Bad Explainers matched that point total, and clearly had a great time doing it.
