The Pub at Golden Road is a full-service, family-friendly environment located just a stone’s throw from Griffith Park in Atwater Village. Open 7 days a week, The Pub offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, over a dozen Golden Road beers on tap, and games for the young (and young at heart).
WOW! WOW! WOW!
All we can say is "WOW!" after last night's combustible quiz competition at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale! It was the most exciting battle we've seen since Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn battled Darth Maul and his awesome two-sided light saber in Star Wars! (Speaking of which, tickets are now available for King Trivia's special Star Wars quiz on December 9th. As Yoda might say, "be a part of it, you should!")
So what made last night's quiz so quiz-scintillating? Well, The Bad Explainers broke strong out of the gate with a successful double in the first three rounds! It looked like they were cruising toward a win.
But they faltered slightly in Round 5, providing an opportunity for Sister Act: The Edge of Reason, and The Donner Party Train to slide by The Explainers with successful doubles of their own!
But when The Donner Party stumbled with an unsuccessful double in Round 6 and The Sisters added a mild 6 points, Harriet & The Spies seized the opportunity and leapt into the lead with a 20-point score!
