Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. October typically means two things: Halloween and playoff baseball! We got our fill of both tonight as we went to silent trivia during the Dodger game, but the non-baseball folk seemed to really enjoy our spooky bonus round. The challenge was to take the letters from "Happy Halloween" and rearrange them in any way possible to make a new sentence. A tough challenge, for sure, but a few teams rose to the occasion. Both "Play a new hole", "Whale hole", "Yellow PP haha", and "Owl pee ahn yeh lap" were fine entries, but congrats to team We're Fine for their winning entry of "Naw, ho, leap!"
