Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. It was a packed house and a bit of a Trivia Reunion tonight as 3 old regular teams from years past were all in attendance AND all placed in the top 3 as they usually did before. Congrats to Quiztopher Walken on the win by the skin of their teeth teeth - just 1 point ahead of Team Plutonium who came in second place, followed closely by Quiz Whalifa just 2 points behind! And no surprise here: Daddy won the Name That Tune! but surprise -- they gave their free pitcher of beer to runners up, Demi-Glace... Aw, how nice! And I hope to see John and John's Friends return next week - they had the lead for the first half of the game until they had to leave... See you next week!
