Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. W O W !

What a dramatic turn of events we had this evening! We had our normal cast of characters, including Daddy, but also taking the stage was a new troupe ready to take on Daddy.... and their name was Tu Madre. Yes, that's right - the girls from Daddy split off to make their own team and have their very own Battle of the Sexes. I am proud to report that Tu Madre held the lead throughout the entire game... and not just over Daddy, but over ALL other teams! They successfully Double 2x, and correctly Guessed Who on the first clue.

At the end of the game it actually came down to not one, but TWO tiebreakers to decide both the 1st place and 3rd place teams. Tru Dat was able to win the 3rd place tiebreaker thus extending their Top 3 position streak for another week.... Meanwhile Quiztopher Walken were sad to learn the whole reason they were in the tiebreaker scenario was because they FORGOT TO TURN IN THEIR PEN for the extra bonus point! Sad day.

And back to our 1st place tiebreaker, you guessed it, it came down to Daddy and Tu Madre! And while the girls crushed it the entire night, I am sad to report they lost their final match point to the boys, leaving them in second place behind the guys. Ah, they were so close! Please try again next week girls, I'll be rooting for ya!!
