Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. It started as a quiet night with a few of our regular teams missing, we spiced things up a bit and offered many varieties of extra points for everyone. The first team to turn in an answer sheet each round would get a bonus point, then they would get to determine the dance move or weird sound each team would have to do in order for them to get their extra point. We heard monkey sounds, some Michael Jackson dance moves, and eventually - you guessed it, twerking!

During our Drinking Round of Failed Simon Says Turned Into Rock Paper Scissors, our winning team was I, the Quizmaster.... but they were kind enough to gift their pitcher of beer to RIP Bill Paxton, how nice! In the end, Quiztopher Walken took home 1st prize, beating out the best dancers RIP Bill Paxton by just ONE point. Team Plutonium also won 3rd prize by ONE point... what a close game for everyone!

It was fun and it got a little weird - hope you all enjoyed our wacky night of trivia!
