Too Fast Bi-Curious won the game tonight (CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!!!) after a close match with Bernie Maximus, It's Not Lupus, and KingBeez (who was leading the game for most of the session until the very last rounds!). Too Fast Bi-Curious let me know they were long-time trivia fans at Idle Hour who were returning to the bar after a trivia hiatus! Congrats to Kara and her fiance who met at Idle Hour and got to celebrate their big victory together - My offer still stands to officiate your wedding here at the barrel. 😉
Substituting for our resident Quizmaster Adam, I got to introduce everyone to my own Drinking Round game that was personally created by my friends and community - "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE" - my own modernized version of the drinking game "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. To perform this incredibly amusing game, our teams each chose one person with a full-ish drink to join me up front in a single-file line. Once I had everyone's chosen competitor, I gave them the rundown -- I would play "Please Please Please" by Sabrina Carpenter, and we would start with the first person in line drinking until she finally sang the first "Please" lyric in the song. From there, each time Sabrina sang "Please," we would switch to the next person in line to drink until the next "Please" came again - so on and so forth! The winner was whomever the last "Please" landed on... I highly recommend you listen to the song and imagine how long/short someone would be drinking for until the next "Please." Congratulations to The Bugle for winning our Drinking Round and winning free shots for their entire team!!!
Many thanks to my friends who came out to support tonight and to all the new friends that I got to meet here! Most of all, thank you to the staff who welcomed me with open arms and made this night a night to remember - shout out to the smol kitten whose owner is socializing them, too!
