About Paragon

Allen Adams was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley and has over twenty years of experience in the restaurant, nightclub and bar business. Allen cut his teeth managing the The Shark Club in downtown LA. While working at the Shark Club, Allen learned the importance of treating customers in such a way that garnered incredible loyalty and a multitude of return clientele. Allen moved on to be the bar manager of the Seafood Broiler and Milano’s Italian kitchen. Allen always strived to create a personable environment where the customer would feel comfortable and want to be a part of. He always puts the customer’s needs first and foremost. Allen decided after years of being in the business to venture out and open the Paragon Bar and Grill. Along with partner “CJ” Willis, their goal was to create a place in Northridge that would give the feel of going to Hollywood or Downtown, without the long drive or potential pretentiousness.

Everything we do here at Paragon Bar and Grill is prepared fresh, from our handmade cocktails, to our snacks and all of our food. Our menu was created by executive chef Greg Schroeppel. Greg has worked with Wolfgang Puck and has done a great job putting a menu together for you. Our goal is to provide the best service, drink and food in the Valley.

“Great Bar, Great Food”

In round 1, most the teams got all the answers right, but only Drought and Brexit doubled. In round 2, every team doubled, but Mom and Nothin failed. Chungus and Brexit successfully doubled in round 3. Then the game got weird.

Drought guessed wrong in round 4 and followed up with two failed doubles, leaving even before the final round. Shrek had a correct 10-point guess in round 4, but was kept just a couple of points out of placing. Spectrum, also with a failed guess in round 4, had every answer in round 6, but failed to double on it. Chungus maintained a decent score for the rest of the game, snagging second. The B-Sharps took a correct 10-point guess in round 4 and strong scores for the rest of the game, capturing the 3rd-place spot. Like Spectrum, Oscar didn't double in round 6 and were just a single point outside the top spots. Brexit, however, took successful doubles in the first three rounds, and even though they failed round 4, immediately followed up with another double in round 5, all the answers right in round 6 (but still no double), and a strong showing in the final round.

I want to thank everyone that joined us for my birthday tonight. I was tickled to have "Happy Birthday" sung to me several times. I'm especially appreciative of Oscar for going above and beyond to celebrate my birthday. The signed collage of all your group's photos is very touching. I appreciate you.

See you all next week!
