QUIZ RECAP
Round One:
It was a three-way slugfest between There’s no crying in trivia, The B Sharps, and KABAM!—because nothing says “General Knowledge” like a fight for supremacy between a team with daddy issues, an acapella group named after a Simpsons episode, and something that sounds like an old-school Batman punch.
Round Two:
Same trio of juggernauts on top. The topic? Famous "knights". Sir Lancelot, Sir Mix-a-Lot, and Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Quiz all made appearances. There’s no crying in trivia, The B Sharps, and KABAM! continued their jousting match while the rest of the teams clung to their dignity like a squirrel with a single acorn in a thunderstorm.
Round Three:
Now it’s a one-team show as There’s no crying in trivia takes the lead! The topic was movies and/or sushi. Naturally, the team that thought “The Godfather Roll” was a real thing managed to edge out everyone else. Turns out their motto is, “If it’s raw, it’s probably right.”
Round Four:
Mystery person round: The answer was Lea Michele, and apparently, There’s no crying in trivia knew it right away. We’re not saying they’ve got a Broadway mole, but… yeah, they totally have a Broadway mole.
Round Five:
“Find the Connection” about games, and There’s no crying in trivia was back at it like a gamer trying to beat Elden Ring without taking a single hit. The connection was so obvious in hindsight, but like all great ideas, it only seemed that way after There’s no crying in trivia shouted, “Duh!”
Drinking Round:
Here’s where things went off the rails. KABAM! snagged victory in a question about gambling—because nothing gets you in the mood to win like having a drink in one hand and pure, unfiltered confidence in the other. They celebrated like they’d just hit a jackpot in Vegas, minus the sudden urge to pawn a family heirloom.
Round Six:
There’s no crying in trivia returned to dominance like a hungover champion rising from the ashes of the Drinking Round. This time, they crushed a matching round about school newspapers, proving once again that the nerds truly shall inherit the Earth.
Round Seven:
And finally, our tariff-loving Presidents to the North and South of us were no match for There’s no crying in trivia. Clearly, nothing boosts trivia brainpower quite like an obsessive knowledge of political history… or just dumb luck. Either way, they took home the win, leaving everyone else with nothing but wounded pride and a vague sense that they should maybe read a book sometime. Congrats to There’s no crying in trivia for taking the win and the bragging rights!
