Trivia Night Recap: KABAM! Takes No Prisoners

Round One: KABAM! blasted onto the leaderboard, proving they know their General Knowledge like the back of their trivia-loving hands. They correctly identified that Mount Rushmore is not in Canada, while Our Group Chat Leaked 🙁 lost points trying to argue that Pluto should still be a planet. Science says no.

Round Two: KABAM! held strong in Sayings Involving Animals, breezing through phrases about cats, cows, and canaries. Ingenious Geniuses struggled, confidently answering that “letting the cat out of the bag” means you need a new cat. Meanwhile, Gryffindor spent most of the round wondering why there weren’t any hippogriff-related idioms.

Round Three: Dentistry and Ads was no match for KABAM!, who successfully remembered which toothpaste prevents cavities and which mouthwash makes you undateable if you don’t use it. Gryffindor, however, insisted that the best dental product is butterbeer, which is, in fact, not ADA-approved.

Round Four: The mystery thing? Die Hard. And while KABAM! kept their lead by quickly cracking the clues, the real battle came when Our Group Chat Leaked 🙁 tried to start the debate—is Die Hard a Christmas movie? After a brief shouting match, the ruling was final: NO. IT IS NOT. Just because there’s a Christmas tree doesn’t make it festive, folks.

Round Five: Find the Connection – Steak and Beef Preparations! KABAM! once again beefed up their lead, sizzling through this round with well-done answers. Meanwhile, Ingenious Geniuses tried to claim that “rare” means “hard to find” and “well-done” means “congratulations.” Gordon Ramsay wept.

Drinking Round: A shift in power! Our Group Chat Leaked 🙁 finally got their moment of glory during the Fruit by the Foot Challenge! With a combination of strategy, tongue power, and sheer desperation, they outpaced everyone in scarfing down ridiculous amounts of fruit-flavored tape. KABAM! lost this round—possibly for the first time all night—because they were too busy laughing to chew.

Round Six: Back to domination as KABAM! reclaimed their throne in the Matching Round About Math Symbols. They successfully paired “>” with “our score vs. everyone else’s,” while Gryffindor tried to convince the host that “π” should be accepted in dessert form. Respectable, but incorrect.

Round Seven: Original Justice League Members & A League of Their Own Teams! KABAM! secured their win, proving they know their superheroes and their women’s baseball history. Meanwhile, Ingenious Geniuses accidentally merged the two, confidently answering that Batman played third base for the Rockford Peaches.

Final Score? KABAM! with the landslide victory! Everyone else? Victors in heart, spirit, and snack-based endurance. Until next time, keep your cats in their bags, your steak medium-rare, and your action movies out of Christmas. 🎤 drops mic

See you next week!
