QUIZ RECAP
TRIVIA NIGHT RECAP: 9 Teams, 7 Rounds, and 1 Ill-Advised Drinking Intermission
Round One: British Invasion came out swinging with their pinkies up and monocles polished, conquering the General Knowledge round like the Queen’s Guard storming a pub quiz. The other teams were left wondering if “tea time” counted as a correct answer for every question.
Round Two: The B-Sharps hit their stride with a transatlantic beatdown in the category American Shows Based on British Programs. They correctly identified The Office, Shameless, and at least two sitcoms where everyone has dental work. Pip pip, tally ho, and the lead changed hands.
Round Three: Staying sharp, The B-Sharps reached escape velocity in a round dedicated to David Bowie, the Moon, or both. Ziggy played guitar, the Moon landing was not a hoax, and somehow someone guessed “Labyrinth” for a question about lunar eclipses. Doesn’t matter—they were still right.
Round Four: The B-Sharps kept their trivia drumbeat rolling by unmasking the mystery person as Travis Barker, perhaps the only drummer with more tattoos than facts named in this round. The Goombas thought it was Adam Levine. Respectable, but wrong.
Round Five: Still no crying in trivia, but plenty of groaning when The B-Sharps found the connection between a bunch of slang terms for ghost. While others were haunted by confusion, they summoned answers from the great beyond and clung to the lead.
Drinking Round: All logic went out the window as everyone tried to guess if the next card was higher or lower in a gloriously chaotic Hi/Lo card game. In the end, British Invasion proved their livers were as strong as their brains, chugging their way to liquid redemption and a free round of drinks.
Round Six: With pint glasses wobbling and confidence at dangerous levels, The B-Sharps booted up again for a round matching definitions to football (sorry, footy) terms. “Nutmeg” was not a spice, “kit” was not a baby raccoon, and the Edjuh Macayders were just happy they spelled something correctly.
Round Seven: Finally, in a round dedicated to Vodka Brands, The B-Sharps sealed their reign with enough boozy brand knowledge to make a Russian bartender blush. Dranks On Me briefly thought it was their time to shine, but mistook “Cîroc” for an energy drink.
In the end, The B-Sharps walked away victorious, British Invasion wobbled away slightly buzzed but proud, and King Gizzard and the Quizzard Lizards vowed to study harder… right after they finished whatever weird concept album they’re working on.

For nearly three years, it's been my pleasure to be your Quizmaster at Rescue Brewing. Unfortunately, tonight marked the end of King Trivia at Rescue, and it has been my honor to have spent that time with you. Thank you for allowing me to share that time with you, to get to know you, and to call so many of you "friend". I will miss you, and I hope to see you at another (as of yet unknown) venue soon.
...or until the producers of The Price is Right call with the hosting gig. Whichever comes first.
Love you all! ❤️
