QUIZ RECAP

What a night for trivia this week at Snakes & Lattes! This week we had four teams playing: Moose on the Loose, We're Smart... Right?, 21 Girls, and First Time.

Like always, our first round was full of general knowledge questions! The teams right off the bat are starting strong with scores of 5 and 4's. Moose on the Loose, due to their registered team, finished off this round with a total of 8 points!

Round 2 proved to be a bit trickier. In this round our teams were asked to identify the act Young Award winners shown in each of the 8 images. Unfortunately at this point in the game 21 Girls and First Time both dropped out of the races, leaving Moose on the Loose and We're Smart... Right? to go head to head.

Round 3 was all about 4 with this number appearing in either the questions or the answers. The question that both our teams got incorrect, but both had also put the same answer for amusingly, asked which Mowtown quartet is known for the song "Baby I Need Your Loving". Both our remaining teams guessed that it was The Temptations, however the correct answer was The Four Tops!

Round 4 this week got a bit muddled as, without realizing it until it had been brought to my attention I had set my teams up for failure! During our first clue I mistakenly said the wrong birth year of our mystery person, flipping the '86 into a '68! Due to my goof our teams remained unscathed by point loss for this round as the mysterious Robert Pattinson alluded us all.

By this point in the game Moose on the Loose was in first with 16 points as We're Smart... Right? followed behind with a total of 7 points.

Round 5's Find The Connection was tight up my alley this week as each of the answers had something to do with trees! Both our teams did pretty well in this round, though Moose on the Loose was the only one to identify the commonality!

Our teams had their alt-rock knowledge tested in Round 6 where they were asked to match each of the album titles shown to one of the bands shown in the answer keys. There were two pairs that both of our teams got right, which were "Nevermind" to Nirvana and "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Our final round this week got real geeky! The first question asked our teams to name the four fundamental forces of nature, as well as 6 of the 7 main crew members of Star Trek's USS Enterprise (from the original series). As a Trekkie I personally was quite a fan of this question!

In the end Moose on the Loose came in a strong first place with 41 points and We're Smart... Right? made it to second place with 16 points!
