The Dudes’ Brewing Company is a Torrance-based craft brewery founded in 2013. The Dudes’ specialize in innovative approaches to classic beer styles designed to appeal to casual beer drinkers and craft beer fanatics alike. The Dudes’ current offerings include: Double Trunk Double IPA, CalifornIPA, Grandma’s Pecan English Style Brown, JuiceBox Series: Blood Orange Amber, JuiceBox Series: Peach Berliner Weisse, Bohemian Hopsody Session IPA, The WRug White Russian Imperial Stout, Kölschtal Eddy Blonde Ale, Surfrider American Pale Ale as well as other seasonal offerings.

After a two week hiatus, I was thrilled to be back with my peeps at The Dudes Brewing Co. Santa Monica! It's hard to believe I've been hosting King Trivia for more than 6 months now. It's such a fun experience. I love connecting with the regulars, meeting new players and encouraging them to come back the next week.

Big thank you to Quizmaster Madeline for subbing in the past two weeks! I read her recaps and saw that she made her hosting debut at The Dudes. Small world as I did the same!

Trivia on 2/27 was a blast. We had 11 teams for most of the evening, with more than 40 highly-engaged players. Our top three teams received certificates to The Dudes and they were VERY well received!

A highlight of the evening was that the bar staff played as they served delicious libations and delectable food. They took a notepad to the counter and would run back their submissions when able. I was most impressed when they were able to correctly name 9 out of 10 Shakespeare tragedies (round 7 asked for 10 of the 12 tragedies). They got the most titles correct of any team, but unfortunately they gambled and marked Double or Nothing so they got zero, when they could have gotten nine!

With sunlight lingering around a bit longer and spring right around the corner, I can't wait to see who joins us for our next installment of King Trivia here in Santa Monica. See you Thursday!
