QUIZ RECAP

Normally, I don’t start off a recap with praise for the serving staff , but you’ve got to hand it to the Lion & Crown Pub at Watter’s Creek for managing a packed house last night.  Not only was the King Trivia crowd there, but a large party of revelers who identified as a group (someone said something about Porsche, but I could be mistaken…) dominated the main tables, squeezing the KT teams into back booths, bar stools and what have you.  Even so, the employees at L&C manipulated the chaos like a union stage crew at the Cirque du Soleil!  Well done Derek, Kito and team! 

Welcome to new teams Toni & Gals and Rockefeller.  The usual suspects showed up as well, making it a spirited evening of fun and games.  The Ninja Turtles reclaimed their championship title with a first place win and excitement was had as Beer Logic won a tie breaker with Pickles on a Plate for the second and third spots respectively. 

Every now and then, by chance circumstance, someone says something, it gets a huge reaction, and it becomes a thing.  Well, that happened last night when team Pickles couldn’t think of The Lorax’s name and wrote in the desperation guess of Carbonic Walrus!  Well, that did it.  Carbonic Walrus became the default answer to Jazz Musicians and what have you after that.
