QUIZ RECAP
I'm not sure I ever believed in love at first sight before, but it sure didn't take more than minute for this fill-in quizmaster to go head-over-heels for The Oaks Tavern last night.
This is the kind of warm and welcoming place that just makes a person feel right at home. You can feel the warm vibe from the moment you walk in, and it also didn't take long for Awesome Sauced to begin pouring their trivia dominance all over the joint!
The Saucy ones took the night with a 20-point win over their closest competition, Concentration Champs. But the real fight was for third place, with the next three finishers coming in with scores of 48, 47 and 46! Wow! That's a tight finish. But ultimately the third slot in the winner's circle went to Spared No Expense.
That's all well and good, but the real winner last night was your humble quizmaster, who made some great new friends, and will happily return if regular host Andrew needs another night off. Thanks, Andrew. You were missed! But I had a great time.
