QUIZ RECAP

A lovely Sunday afternoon brought out the rogues and rapscallions for a gentle game of trivia at The Oaks. As the crowd eased into this wonderful establishment, the sweet melodic tunes of DJ Pandora welcomed them to an exciting early evening, with karaoke to follow. 

Our two titans, Trashley’s Wards and I am Two Beers Old, went from perfect strangers to bitter rivals in no time at all. It was bound to be a battle for the ages. In fact, with two such evenly matched teams, it was all going to come down to their boldness. 

At the halfway mark, after four rounds, Trashley led by a wide margin, but Two Beers wasn’t about to give up. 

In our drinking round, we paid homage to the greatest of all office supplies: the paperclip. Trashley’s Ward won the round, but generously offered their drinks to their competition! Possibly to lull them int a false sense of security, or to entice them to make mistakes?

As the latter half of the game ran on, Trashley continued to push their lead further and further ahead. Two Beers was undeterred, never backing down from a challenge. 

As we rounded into the final lap, Trashley had put so many points on the board that their victory was all but certain. Still, Two Beers refused to back down, delivering an inspiring finish that will be recorded in song from Encino to San Bernardino. 

Our winner was the loud and proud Trashley’s Wards! No word yet on if they stuck around for karaoke.
