About Butcher's Dog

We have 10 large HDTVs and show up to 5 different events on them (we love sports and hope you join us for all the great sports events coming up: UFC, NBA, NHL, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Rugby Word Cup, NASCAR races, Champions League, MLB World Series, etc.).

We have a beautiful patio with space heaters.

We pour great beers and wines, with 18 beers on tap, as well as crafted cocktails.

We have a great Happy Hour menu daily from 3pm to 7pm and ALL NIGHT on Mondays.

During these times $4 & $5  draft beers, $6 house cocktails, $4 well drinks and our selected house wines are $6 a glass.

The rain fell softly o'er the moors of West LA, and teams of brainy bandits roamed the cityside in search or food and trivia.  Fortuitously, Butcher's Dog had both, and welcomed in the weary travelers.

An uneasy peace held fast amongst the various tribes as they waged a mental war against each other, vying for The Prize.  But only two could claim victory.

Halfway through the evening the teams released their warring energy with a game of WAR, as teams drew playing cards in a bracket-style elimination game until only three remained, who all drew against each other.  Red Hot Trivia Peppers won a round of drinks with their lucky draw, when their 6 beat two 3s...

At the end of the eve, The Vulgarians staked their claim and won their very first championship!! While No Pants Party claimed second place. Both received gift certificates for extra vittles and drink for their efforts.

Another great night at Butcher's Dog!  We just can't help being awesome every Tuesday!

After taking a week off from winning, Jessica's Team snagged another first place win, while Ex Tillerson was hot on their tails for second! These two will surely have an epic showdown next week!

FRIENDS THEMED EVENT RECAP

Holy moly, what a turnout for King Trivia's FRIENDS trivia extravaganza!  17 teams in all turned out at Butcher's Dog to showcase the extent of FRIENDS trivia, and boy did they showcase and boy, what an extent.

The scores volleyed back and forth as double downs went flying.  I think Jacques Cousteau is Dead went three for three in the first three rounds, but faltered off early.  Instead the victory went to Paper...Snow...A Ghost!  They also went three for three in the last three rounds of doubling and managed to take the win with an eye watering 101 points!  Team Monica! and Handbag Marinara played steadily and took second and third, respectively.  Rachel's Trifle had a perfect score in the drinking round so they took that, obvi, and Bunny vs. Doodie showed their special spirit to win an official Central Perk mug.

Now I know next to nothing about FRIENDS, but I did feel extremely welcome amongst these competitors.  They were so amiable and enthusiastic that it would have been impossible not to feed off of their energy.  Thanks, teams, for helping me have such a good time.  I hope you guys did too!
