About Butcher's Dog

We have 10 large HDTVs and show up to 5 different events on them (we love sports and hope you join us for all the great sports events coming up: UFC, NBA, NHL, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Rugby Word Cup, NASCAR races, Champions League, MLB World Series, etc.).

We have a beautiful patio with space heaters.

We pour great beers and wines, with 18 beers on tap, as well as crafted cocktails.

We have a great Happy Hour menu daily from 3pm to 7pm and ALL NIGHT on Mondays.

During these times $4 & $5  draft beers, $6 house cocktails, $4 well drinks and our selected house wines are $6 a glass.

We thought it was going to be super slow based on the crowd when I first arrived, but by the time we started the quiz, 10 teams showed up to test their wits at Butcher's Dog!

My oh my, it was a record night at Butcher's Dog!  16 teams battled for supremacy in a no-holds-barred battle of wits!  Weather in LA was gloomy, and this was a perfect way to battle the dreariness - shine the light of knowledge!

Off in the Woods - a team of one, mind you - managed to take the top spot after having a lead for most of the game, then losing it, and then retaking it in dramatic fashion!  Lez B. Frands won their second second-place finish with the sexiest score possible!  And Just Play Already snagged a free round of drinks with the first correct answer in our "Guess Who" round.

We all learned something at trivia this week at Butcher's Dog!  Was Magellan the first Spaniard to reach the Pacific Ocean, even though he was Portuguese and he started by going the other way around...?

The Quiz was tough this week, with precious few successful Double-or-Nothings, but at the final count, with only 2 points separating them, No Pants Party returned to victory, with Off In The Woods taking second.

As for yours truly, Quizmaster Travis Richey, oh, man, tonight I went with the half chicken meal with fingerling potatoes and brocollini for dinner, and I may have a new favorite meal!!
