This week was an especially fun game of King Trivia as it was clear that everyone REALLY wanted a distraction from all the insanity in the world. The game started off with Alicorn, Chirorockstar, and Ramirez's obviously being a very well matched threesome with 1, 1, and 0 points coming out of the gate. I joked that while they struggled a bit in that first round, these teams really knew their tattoos and they picked up steam and tons of points in round 2. Round 4 was also a tough one and even after playing the song, only one team got it but that allowed that team, Pretty Pirates, to jump into the game with quite a splash. The game continued to be very close and in Round 7, we actually ended the game with a tie for third. It was a real nail biter, with the final score proclaiming third place- Alicorn. Second Place-Pretty Pirates. And First Place-ChiroRockstar. However, once the Ramirez's told everyone it was their honeymoon, both Alicorn and Chirorockstar gave their gift cards to them. What a sweet gesture and a great ending to another fun night of trivia at the Universal Hilton!

This week's teams proved that a little enthusiasm can make all the difference in the King Trivia experience. This week's game was super fun as everyone was SO enthusiastic and really vying for that top $75 prize. Cousin's Club came in hot right from the start but really all the teams were very close in points and general knowledge. Cowboy Joe was quiet at first as was Whiskeypedia but they proved themselves to be formidable opponents with Cowboy Joe showing off in Round 5 and Whiskeypedia killing it in Round 6. It was exciting to have an old friend of the game Last Place come sauntering in all the way from North Carolina. He jumped into the mix in Round 4. Guess Who proved to be an in intense round as always with many incorrectly guessing Kermit the Frog. The final round came down to just a few points but as his prophetic name predicted, Last Place unfortunately came in last place again. Cowboy Joe proudly saddled into third, whiskeypedia took second and Cousin's Club was the big winner!! Whiskeypedia told us they had a blast and hope to bring some of their friends from NBC next week. We can't wait!

This week's edition of King Trivia was one of the speediest and most intense games we've seen at the Universal Hilton. Amidst the backdrop of a wedding and a large business meeting, Ray's Team, Joe Google, Lee, and Team Cookie decided they had to rebel against their company meeting and jump into some trivia. Their enthusiasm was infectious as some of the teams started off rather small but their co-workers couldn't stop themselves from jumping in. The game was pretty close until Round 4 when the always tricky and exciting Guess Who got the best of Team Cookie and Lee, but allowed Ray's Team and Joe Google to jump ahead. The ending of this game was particularly thrilling as all the teams were LITERALLY about to miss their work bus so we sped up the last two rounds , and although Ray's Team technically should have won, they decided to run for the bus while the other three were so engrossed in the game they couldn't leave and ultimately ended up pulling the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes!! Great game everyone and good luck Joe, wherever your next job may take you!
