QUIZ RECAP

First of all, let me just say Happy Birthday Eric! Eric was a member of team Happy Birthday Eric who were at Chapter One celebrating (you guessed it) Eric's birthday. They joined into the competition alongside the Broadstone Babes and After Party. While I wish I could have given Eric first place as a birthday gift, it came down to trivia knowledge and After Party once again proved they have what it takes. They secured a 1st place victory for the... 11th? 12th? 13th time in a row? It wasn't as easy as sometimes however, because the Broadstone Babes made them work for it! Broadstone Babes lingered 2-4 points behind team After Party until the very end. What I was able to give Eric for his birthday is a third place prize because they were able to secure a third place victory ahead of team Nyon. Congratulations to all winning teams and once again, Happy Birthday Eric!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a delight filling in at Chapter One: The Modern Local this week! I felt honored to witness Chapter One's regular winning team: After Party and was thrilled to welcome team I promise, there's two of us to their first trivia competition at Chapter One. We also had occasional guest appearances from a handful of other teams, and various patrons around the bar who liked getting involved in the trivia in one capacity or another.

The most impressive part of the night, however, was the bar staff who decided to form a team of their own. They spent the first couple of rounds in last place, but by the end they were able to claw their way to second place! That level of ability blows my mind: pouring drinks, taking orders, managing a restaurant, and winning trivia!? Sometimes I forget to breathe if I get too focused on other things, I can't imagine that level of multitasking. I encourage everyone to come next week to witness the feats of the incredible bar staff at Chapter One: The Modern Local.
