QUIZ RECAP

Thomas Jefferson once said, "Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom." And even though Counter Intelligence didn't win trivia tonight, their honesty still makes them a 1st place team. I incorrectly gave Counter Intelligence a successful double in Round 5's "Find the Connection." They guessed DJ Grandmaster Flash for "Who is the DJ for Run DMC?" (correct answer:  Jam Master Jay).  After I read the scores for the round and announced Counter Intelligence was in the lead, they let me know I made a mistake. I revised the scores and they dropped from 1st place to tied for 6th. Team Counter Intelligence, THANK YOU once again!  

Congrats All Night Rockers on winning 1st place! They scored three successful doubles (and one unsuccessful double, but who's counting) and finished with 64 points. The Rockers won $195 and can now buy an unlimited number of Star Crunches for trivia next week. Team Get in the Van used a successful double in the last round to take 2nd place (61 points) and win $50. The Mother Fs ("shuuut uuuup") came in 3rd place (52 points) and won Free Drinks. And in last/not least place, We the People "missed" a couple of doubles to win a Free Pizza.

Anyone else experiencing trivia deja vu? Last week, we went into overtime and needed a tiebreaker question between Counter Intelligence and All Night Rockers. Spoiler Alert:  Counter Intelligence won the tiebraker and won by one point. Tonight, we almost went into overtime between the same two teams. Spoiler Alert:  Counter Intelligence won (again) by one point (again). Congrats Counter Intelligence on winning 1st place! They scored three successful doubles, finished with 66 points, and won $190 for 1st place. All Night Rockers settled for 2nd place (again) and won $50 (again). Team Amigos came in 3rd place with 59 points and won Free Drinks. And in last/not least place, We the People had several missed doubles and won a Free Pizza.

Trivia needed overrrtiiime tonight to find our winning team. Counter Intelligence and the All Night Rockers were tied at 68, so we went into OT. The tiebreaker question was the length of the Wabash River in Indiana (503 miles). Counter Intelligence's guess was closer (make that much, much closer). They earned a bonus point for sixtyyy-niiine points, and won $155 for 1st place. All Night Rockers settled for 2nd place (no pictures, please) and won $50. Team Get In The Van used a successful double in the final round to take 3rd place and win Free Drinks. And in last/not least place, Bixby Village People won a Free Pizza.
