After getting off to a rough first couple of rounds, the battle started heating up in round 3. 4 successful doubles (and 2 failed doubles) divided the pack in round 5.
The big surprise of the night came in the final 2 rounds. After keeping pace with each other all night, HRL successfully doubled in round 6 and GBD did not. In round 7, they did the opposite, leaving HRL to fall behind by a single point!

A lack of confidence in the first round meant several perfect scores went un-doubled. Confidence returned in the picture round and then vanished again in the theme round. Round five divided the pack, leaving the winners right on top of each other.

This was a close battle tonight!
HRL jumped out to an early lead, but Mary and Group were right on them. The Goldfish made the next push and then HRL got into trouble. Four teams had failed doubles in the final round, which allowed for two of the teams running behind to slip into the top three. Group maintained their lead, but boy, was this a nail-biter!
The rankings for the Tournament of Champions will be closing at the end of the month. Better get those games in while you can!
