QUIZ RECAP

One of the interesting aspects of King Trivia quizzes is that, well, ya never know what your team in gonna know - and what they won't. We all carry a mismatched and eclectic set of facts in our heads. Some important, and some...well...not so much.

In creating each new quiz, the excellent brain trust of KT's excellent quiz writers endeavors to span the gamut of informational options - from the sublime to the ridiculous. For this reason, you never know what we're gonna ask, and how your team might perform on any given night.

This phenomenon was demonstrated this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale, when last week's top performing team, Hieroglyphic Buttjam, dropped to #6 in this week's standings! The top spot honors this time around went to BFR, who paid tribute to Elon Musk's successful rocket launch by referencing the name of his next big rocket in their team name.

Similarly, last week's #2 and #3, New in Town and Sister Act fell to #10 and #5 respectively, replaced by last night's winners, Eat Your Draymond Greens and The Bad Explainers.

So ya see, ya never know. Next week's winner might just be YOU! Come on out and give it a shot. We guarantee a good time. See ya then!

QUIZ RECAP

The Wookies in Glendale may have needed reinforcements this week, as the Real Housewives of Kashyyyk offered up the night's most amusing team name, but nonetheless fell to the imposing Force-fueled win by Hieroglyphic Buttjam. 

The Buttjammers finished regulation play in a tie with New In Town, but took top honors in the tie-breaker. Frequent top-three finisher Sister Act: An Unexpected Journey came in third, with no fewer than five other teams within 10-point striking distance. All in all, a very competitive night.

Now, back to Kashyyyk, and the Real Wookie Housewives. What do you suppose a gathering of Wookie Housewives would sound like!? That's gotta be loud and unpleasant, yes? And more to the point, what would it smell like!? Not Teen Spirit, I'm guessing.

O! M! G!

The Quizatorium at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale was hopping this week with one of the biggest crowds we've ever had there. (Okay, the "Quizatorium" is actually the side yard area, but hey! It's covered and enclosed and heated and cozy and the place was rockin' last night with Trivia Night fervor!!

Sister Act 2: Royal Engagement came away with the well-earned win, fighting off challenges from Presidential Approval Rating and The Bad Explainers. 

Our #4 finishers, Hieroglyphic Buttjam, usually compete as #squadgoals, but their new (and temporary?) team name gets a nod as our favorite team name of the night. (Honorary mention to 2 Guys, 2 Girls and a Drinking Problem and Three Quizzes Outside Ebbing, Missouri. 

If you're an enthusiastic trivia quizinator and haven't already checked it out, you've gotta come on in to Golden Road on Tuesday night. It's the hottest game in town, and the competition is fierce. But we can always squeeze in another team or two.
