Conjunctivitis.com - now THAT's a site for sore eyes!!

FOUR POINTS! That was the full margin of difference between our top three teams at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale this week.

Sure, Bananas Foster scored the top spot with 72 points. But Big Willie Style finished just one point behind with 71! (We're guessing that anyone who calls themselves "Big Willie" isn't used to coming up short, even if it was just a single point.)

But Big Willie had big competition from frequent top-three finishers  #squadgoals, who came in a close third with 68. Honorable mention must certainly go to Pobody's Nerfect whose 62-point, fourth-place finish was...well..never mind! Fourth place is nothing to brag about!

It was a fine, fine night on the Golden Road patio, with the summer-like heat of the day giving way to a lovely sunset and a cool, beautiful dusk. You really ought to see it for yourself. Come on out next week and knock Bananas Foster off their perch.

I finally got to hit number 3 off my list. It was a great night out at Golden Road. If you haven't had the chance to try their beer, do it. If you haven't had the chance to see their flagship taproom, do it. If you haven't played trivia at Golden Road, do it.

The competition is fierce, the strategy bold, and the rewards impressive. There was constant fluctuation in the leaderboard as teams risked it all and won, or the stayed at the same score.

Regardless, all of the teams from Tuesday night are my favorite. They're like my children that I've only seen once. You love them because you only have to see them once in a while. Shout out to the wonderful folks at Golden Road, especially RJ for taking care of everything from behind the patio bar.

QUIZ RECAP

Just a few months ago, Golden Road Brewery invited King Trivia to launch a weekly quiz in their extended patio area. Well, it didn't take long for word to get out, and we quickly outgrew the front patio.

The great folks at Golden Road opted to dedicate the larger (and quite wonderful) side patio area to our weekly quiz, and we've really been enjoying our more capacious space. There's a delightful communal feeling to the picnic tables, games and photo booth options available to distract and delight King Trivia's regulars and newcomers. And, needless to say, the space is just perfect for our weekly contest of wits and knowledge.
