About K.C. Branaghan's

K.C. Branaghan’s is a true local pub with outstanding food and drinks, served in a warm and friendly environment. Built to re-create a cottage pub, K.C. Branaghan’s has lowered ceilings and dark wood features reminiscent of many of the great pubs of Ireland. The back bar was hand crafted using the finest materials available, and each artifact hanging on the wall was hand picked by the owner himself.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing place to enjoy a few drinks, or you are looking for a great lunch or dinner, we hope you will join us. We feature a full menu with selections ranging from the traditional Irish Fayre, like Fish n’ Chips, Bangers and Mash, and Shepherd’s Pie, to fantastic Salads, Sandwiches and Burgers. Our entrees include Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, Grilled Salmon, Parmesan Encrusted Chicken, Shrimp Scampi, and the most authentic pastas in Long Beach. Some of our signature appetizers include our delicious Sausage Rolls, Spicy Potatoes, and Smoked Salmon. There is something on the menu for everyone.

We pride ourselves on our Draft Beer Selection, specializing in pouring the perfect Pint of Guinness each time. In addition, our lineup boasts other Irish favorites Harp, Smithwick’s, Kilkenny, and Magners. We also feature a large selection of craft beers, Sculpin, Racer 5, and Lagunitas to name a few.

Our full bar boasts a large selection of premium Irish and Scotch whiskeys, including Jameson, Knappogue, Midleton, Paddy, Glenlivet and Glenfiddich. You may also be interested in one of of our original Martinis or shots

Just six days since the Holy Grail of pub celebrations Saint Patrick's day and we have trivia warriors ready to rock! Well really what happened was unsuspecting folks in the pub were just in for their great grub and some beverages when I tempted them with leftover St. Patrick's day giveaways like drink sleeve, blinking shamrock necklaces. Lit Guinness lanyards, stickers...bribery will get you almost everywhere!

No one likes to play to non players. It would be equivalent to being in the playground with a bunch of hula hoops on the ground and no one is hula hooping. We had fun!! People stayed longer than they expected. We only had 4 teams who scored for more than 3 rows but in the beginning we had 6 teams which including the 'Party Planning Committee" and "Electroholics" who were two brothers and their Dad but they were sitting near the loud vocal woman FaceTiming her gf while sitting with her French pal and a gent while at the bar while I was saying the questions. Hello?!  God bless sub teachers or just teachers in general -what they must deal with. God bless pub staff everywhere. The patience of saints.

We had some very interesting questions about Wrigley Field, Babe Ruth, TV celebrities, American history, potatoes, gourds, alcohol brands, John Tesh song for NFL on NBC and more.

Thanks to the awesome staff for all their attentive service to the guests. A good time was had by all including the after trivia crowd like Troy and Dave. Life with locals. Love it!

The week before St. Patrick's day festivities. Get your luck of the Irish ☘️ playing trivia to sharp your wit and wisdom while socializing. Gone are the days of pandemic pause and social distancing. Working on those happy days are here again. Hoping for more peace and love in the world starts at home and there is lots of kindness and comfort in this fine Pub by the sea.

Great to see the return of winning teams like  Toaster  Strudel  and Tutus. Welcome to new teams the Dudley's, Early Wine and Kept Men who are related to the Strudels. It was a bit of a friendly family feud as a working wife of the Kept Men team has a sister, her father and a cousin on the Strudel team. Thankfully once the dust settled on their competitive kidding, there was a big reUnited family team picture.

We learned a bit about Paris, ice cream, pop culture and other various things. We celebrated International Women's Day with female rock band music between questions as well as Irish female singers.

I was so glad to be back at K.C. Branaghan's after another car 🚙 repair episode.  I am wishing for more Irish ☘️ luck for better wheels! With the increasing fuel hikes, plug in electric cars are looking like a great idea.

So for next week's trivia night let's celebrate St. Patrick's day early.  Wear green and let's have more fun. I will have an array of old time and modern Irish tunes ready as your Trivia dj! Slainte!! Congratulations to the winning team and much appreciation of the great owner Ryan and staff Ginger, Maddie, Kevin, Chef Jose and Lorenzo.
