QUIZ RECAP

We mostly started off small today, but by round 2, teams were kicking it into high gear with most in the 70th percentile or higher and a few double-downs! Round 3 began to split things up as folks scored low or doubled and we began to see leaders emerge.

Many Teams scratched their heads for a while, trying to guess where, but a few decided to roll the dice early and Sin City obliged them kindly. Round 5 was a bit savage as the competition mounted and some of the leaders were able to secure high-value double-downs and pull waaaaaaay ahead!

Round 6 rocked everyone's confidence and teams began to choke on the fumes from all the auto exports in round 7, letting the scores even up a bit, but not quite enough and the leaders were able to stay far enough ahead to grasp victory.

The night started of in a flurry with 8 perfect scores, but 6 of those 8 Doubled!! The second round had most scores in 6 or above, and the competition continued to mount. We found our first zero out in round 3, and with three more doubles, teams began to pull away. Quiz Kid Donnie Smith began to threaten the confidence of the leaders as their point total neared the three teams that had been commanding the field. Round four saw even more success for Quiz Kid, who obtained the only perfect 10. in round five, the tension mounted as the high-valued doubles entered play and scores began to soar with 7 teams gaining 20 points. Neck and neck the leaders raced, but the only round 6 double from Tequila Mocking Birds put them into contention all but guaranteeing a prize. The points lay high all around, but the real excitement was between Tequila Mockingbirds and Feelin Mirthy, Dat Foo Girthy, who tied for first place, settling with their best guesses with our regulars giving way to the newcomers who won the day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEVIN!!!

There's Always next week and Tequila Mockingbirds toasted the birthday boy with Successful double downs in round 1, round 2 was a shocker with almost every single team scoring seven points, but St. Trinian's escaping everyone's memory of even having existed at all!

A few doubles shook up the ladder in round 3, with Let's get quizzical, The kid's table, and Gasping at Straws jumping up in the standings. Everyone waited to guess who until the six point clue, and only two teams missed the right answer. After a thrilling drinking round where the Casual American Cannibals reigned supreme, There's Always Next Week came out back on top with the only successful Bond-related double down. Rounds 6 and 7 remained rather conservative, and the game ended with a battle of wits and estimations between Tequila Mockingbirds and The Kids' Table vying and tying second place, leaving the former to take the lead.
