As the summer started heating up, so did the competition. A number of newcomers made their way to the Tam this night, but it was Trashley Wards who continued their great record this summer by taking the win.

Ballads and paeans; statues and ticker-tape parades. Medals from Alderaanian princesses wouldn't even be enough to say thank you!

Your humble Quizmaster - no - I am so grateful to each and every one of the Tam trivia family for the manner in which we all rolled with the punches this night. Despite a sudden, violent change of humors for myself, the show did indeed go on! With the help and encouragement of friendly faces around the room, heroes from within your own ranks rose without request and gave it their best as they finished off the competition -- including a tie-breaker for second place no less! Aided by the same sanguine attitude of the crowd, I quickly rushed to an escape vehicle with a pink mustache and was safely delivered to my home to continue my unexpected exertions in private. After the salvaged match, in which Trashley Wards earned a double win, additional samaritans arrived at my home to quietly deposit the vehicle and supplies I'd left behind.

It was a fairly seamless operation, an absolute success from triage to triumph, and there were multiple fine individuals who went above and beyond the call of trivial duty to accomplish the mission...but now that we know we can do it, let's never do it again!

When strangers wander unknowingly into the brainy battleground that is a Tuesday night at Tam O'Shanter's bar, it is at first a mystery whether they will seek shelter from the sound and fury or cautiously inquire about the potential for a taste of the thrill of victory (or agony of defeat).

Of Keith wasted no time presenting themselves to the table of trivia after they'd figured out what was what; they sought a dynamic struggle between facts and teams and beer, and they sure were treated to just such things.

Hi Ho Silver rode neck and neck with Aggressive Foreplay for much of the game, until Foreplay's step faltered following a Hi Ho Silver drinking round victory. Though AG salvaged a bronze finish, the excitement at the end featured a resurgent team of Mules catching up to HHS in the final round, forcing a tie breaking final question. With their superior number crunching leading them to deliver a number that was closest to the US McDonald's franchise count, Hi Ho Silver secured themselves a rewarding double victory for the night.
