We are here another night at 2nd Bar for another wonderful night of trivia. We are joined tonight with a bunch of new faces in the crowd tonight! It was a slow start in the first round, however, The Trivia Sitter Club, made a tremendous lead for several rounds until Team Elsa and Anna took the lead in round 6, leading with one point ahead of The Trivia Sitter Club. We also are joined by Mars who arrived a little late, but managed to take home the third-place prize!
These teams were very eager and engaged tonight and it was a beautiful sight to see. Ultimately, we had The Trivia Club taking first place with 44 pts. Trailing right behind, Team Elsa and Anna, with 43 ps. I must say that was an intense rivalry right there! And of course, last but not least, we have Mars in third with 37 pts. Happy new year, 2nd bar! We enter a new year with new faces joining us for trivia tonight. Introducing, Let's Get Trivial and DTD, both teams came eager and excited to play. Although it was a calm night, it was made up with friendly competition. It was a close few rounds with Let's Get Trivial only up by a couple points ahead of DTD. Players from DTD, Derek and Thandi, have never played trivia before, but very much killed it tonight!
Ultimately, Let's Get Trivial took first place with 38 points. DTD coming in a close second with 26. Both teams received gifts cards for Whole Foods; hopefully they don't spend all at once! It was a slow night here at 2nd Bar, but with the power of the holiday spirit, we still made trivia happen here at 2nd Bar. Your favorite quiz master, Alex, was joined by her pal, Jason, who represented his team, P.O.P. by himself tonight. He strived through against a new contestant, McGurk. It was tied for three rounds, until Jason from P.O.P. endeavored and ultimately won with 26 points. Unfortunately, since trivia was canceled, there weren't any more teams that participated, thus no prizes given out as well.
It was a very fun and also intimate trivia tonight with only two contestants. As we approach the new year, I hope to see familiar and new faces that are excited to play trivia. Until next time, 2nd Bar. I hope everyone has a happy new year!
