QUIZ RECAP

A quiet night out here in NoHo as the gloomy weather and cold temperature kept the mood relaxed and homey. Not that you could tell out at Oaks Tavern, where the party goes from morning to night! With karaoke beckoning and trivia just the perfect appetizer, the teams arrived hungry for trivial knowledge. 

Our early rounds kept things nice and easy, warming up those quiz muscles with some over-the-plate questions. Kim Makes Pizza took an early lead with a clutch double and managed to hold on tight through Round Four. But would it be enough to keep them over the top for the rest of the game?

For the Drinking Round, we asked our teams to honor National Sock Day by showing off the most insane socks they could find. Kim Makes Pizza had the edge with a sock that seemed to eat its wearer, so they earned the mystery shot of the night: Fireball!

The back half of the show pushed our teams to their limits, both of knowledge and of tolerance of DJ Pandora’s eclectic selection of 80s hits. Kim Makes Pizza lost ground with a double gone wrong, and Take My Team’s Name jumped into an important lead late in the game. But it was a fight to the finish for these teams, and they gave everything to the trivia gods above to earn their victory. We ended up crowning Kim Makes Pizza as our clear winners of the night…by a single point!
