Happy May the Fourth Be With You Thursday! We had 29 teams, 106 players, and 2 handsome doggos join us for some Harry Potter trivia! After cheering our local Warriors to a big win in the playoffs, we hopped on our broomsticks and headed to Hogwarts for not one but TWO theme rounds! Shout out to SAS for figuring out the Mystery Person at the 10 point level, then to the 8 teams that found the connection - well done! We sang Happy Birthday to Eli from the Modelitos, and would like to invite all our trivia friends to bring your friends and family to celebrate their special day with us, as we are always delighted (gleeful even!) to help you embarrass your loved ones with a roomful of drunken strangers singing to them! 😉🍻 They also get a free Cinnabread! After a Billboard Top Music Countdown, it was time for the final scores and some truly spellbinding THEMED prizes along with gift certificates and pint glasses! 3rd place went to Two Girls One Goblet of Fire, 2nd place went to our leaders for most of the night: Nimbus 69,000. And our 1st place team, thanks to 2 successful Double-or-Nothings in a row propelling them to the top, was Sexy Slytherin! Our Best Team Name went to It's TriviOsah Not TriviosAH. Tonight was another wonderful night of trivia at Woodstocks Santa Cruz. Thank you. Everybody who showed up and played with us. We had 26 fierce teams, duel it out for some amazing Woodstocks prices. Up until around six we have a doctor was in first place, however, sexy slugs, persevered through in third place sausage Gobblers. Tonight's best team name went to Pippin dots. QUIZ RECAP
We had 13 teams, 44 players, and 3 handsome pups stick around after a thrilling Basketball Playoff game with our local bball heros (Go Dubs!) for this epic 420 night of trivia. I shared some special news, we played some pinball, talked (more) hoops, and gave away all the biggest spoilers!! 5 teams found the connection, and the rest would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for those meddling kids! Only 1 team was able to correctly name our mystery person at the 10 point level: SmexyGeraltofRivia. After not even being there the first two rounds, that 10-pointer shot them up onto the podium and they ended up stealing 1st place from the two teams that had been battling at the top the rest of the night! Mary Wanna Win took 2nd place, and with the only 420-related team name, they also took home Best Team Name, but passed the pint glass & gift certificates to the 4th place team C&T. Super Weenie Hut Jr took home 3rd place. All of our teams still present at the end of the night received at least one entry into the drawing for 2 Cali Roots Music Festival tickets (and each team 9th place and above received progressively more entries), and the tickets went to an ecstatic team Rico! Congratulations you two, and thanks to everyone who stayed and played. We’ll see you all next week!
