QUIZ RECAP
It was a packed night at 33 Taps on Wednesday, all there for their King Trivia fix! We had 16 teams join us for the fun this week, including regular teams that had been MIA, and returning champs to protect their title. By Round Six, double or nothings were flying all over the place, but it was Curieux who clinched a lead doubling on Round Five, and ended up in first place with 68 points. This team had been working their way to the top, and maybe it was the two week break they took, but they finally made it to the first place, and I got the honor to be included in their winning portrait. What a way to make a come-back, Curieux! In second place was Boom, Still Got It, and I validate that. Their final score was 55 which was just one point ahead of third place, which ended up in a tie! Boom won second by a nose, while I had to release the Round Eight Kraken to settle the tie between Trivia is Cancelled Thanks Everyone Please Go Home and We Did It Joe for third. Trivia is Cancelled... answered the closest and broke the tie! Not far behind those two was last week's champs The Codependency Crew who were set back by a flat tire when they missed Q10 and had doubled down during Round Five. That didn't stop them from guessing the closest answer and winning the Drink Round though, cheers mates!
It was a very close game over all, every team played a very great game! It was not easy to see who would be receiving prizes, it was evident in the final scores the way the rest of the teams were also just a couple points apart from each other. Congratulations, everyone, and thank you for playing!

And the word of the night this Wednesday at 33 Taps, was Redemption. What a beautiful sight to see returning teams coming back with a vengence to claim their prize! Last week, The Codependency Crew landed in second, and wouldn't you know it, yeah okay, they could win first place this time, but with 80 points? Ouch! Nearly twenty points ahead, they redeemed themselves and took first place in great stride. In second place were The Spike Proteins with a final score of 61, twelve points ahead of third! They played their cards right, and secured a high score doubling down on Rounds Three and Five.
I was so proud for the Hoosier Mamas who came back this week charged up and ready to make it to the top of the board this time. Well they nailed it, and won third place with grace. But, wait, there's MORE! These ladies also won the drinking round with a disturbingly close answer. Turns out, one of their players had experince reading a novel with over half a million words, that was in my question. My salute to you Hoosier Mamas, well done!

Another fun Wednesday night of King Trivia at 33 Taps down in the books! First place winners Person Man Woman Camera TV entered with a hand on their holster, they came out shootin' right off the bat. Doubling down on the First Round they made a claim for the prize, and won with 78 points. Second place @therealdevonsawa wasn't far behind when they doubled down on Round Two, they finished with 77 points. These two bit each other's ankles all the way through, and sure enough, finished only one point apart.
Meanwhile, in third place we had two teams that felt they didn't get enough, and we went into the sudden-death Round Eight to break the tie of 63 points. Hoosier Mamas made a valient effort, but The Codependency Crew snagged the third place prize with a really close guess. Special mention and cheers to the drinking round winners, Lip Smackers, who were awarded for their impressively close guess. Congrats winners, congrats all players for your amazing smarts! Sometimes strategy doesn't reflect the smarts, but this Quizmaster knows what's up. So, always, great job to all!
