QUIZ RECAP

Very few doubles & lower scores seemed to be the trend tonight in this difficult game, although our champions broke through & got a semi-high score with 2 successful doubles in a row. Let's get into it!

Particiation Trophy didn't really go into high gear until the 2nd half, starting off with a successful double in round 5. This was followed by a couple of great rounds to end the game, which insures their 3rd place finish & they take the bronze!

Gin & Jews start the game off with a bang with a successful double in round 1. This, paired with a perfect round 4 & 6, set an amazing pace for them! Despite a failed double in the last round, they still finish 2nd, taking the silver!

Iran Zhang's Olympic Team faced a big obstacle early with a failed double in round 2, but they then made a miraculous recovery with a perfect round 3 & 2 successful doubles in a row in rounds 5 & 6 (the only team to have 2 successful doubles)! This throws them into the lead. Luckily for them, the 2nd place finishers, Gin & Jews, fail on their double (although they still wouldn't have taken the lead if they didn't attempt the double) & Yiran Zhang's Olympic Team finishes 1st, taking the gold & becoming the champions of the night!

It was an exciting one tonight that included a HUGE shakeup in the last round! Let's get into it!

Tequila Mockingbird had a great showing of patience & they had 2 wisely timed doubles in rounds 3 & 7. Luckily for them that jumped into 3rd from a tie for 4th in the very last round because of a failed double from another team which we will talk about later. Hopping into 3rd, they take the bronze!

The Rockford Peaches doubled in the exact same rounds as Tequila Mockingbird, the difference was their stellar 2nd half in which they only missed 2 questions! The infamous failed double by another team also saw them hop into 2nd from 3rd & that's where they finish, taking the silver.

Silver Spring doubled in the same exact rounds as the other 2 teams, but the difference for them was their incredible 1st half where they only missed 1 question & missed 3 questions the entire game (along with a 6 in round 4)! They should've finished the game in 2nd, but the team in the lead made an error as they doubled & fell victim to those 7 deadly sins which they needed to name in the last round. This team was Verified on Twitter & they, along with a few other teams, named vanity instead of pride as a deadly sin. This would be their downfall, but was great news for our champions of the night, Silver Spring, as they snatch 1st & take the gold!

I believe this is the lowest scoring game that I've ever hosted. Well, as we know they all can't be easy. It was a very difficult & conservative game tonight to say the least, but still the fun gauge was just as high as it's always been as the champions emerged.

The Pred8 of the Furious , Golden Gordons, & I Lost My Virginity At... had eerily similar games tonight, even all doubling in the same round! They were neck & neck the entire game, but Golden Gordons slipped past I Lost My Virginity At... in the very last round. The Pred8 of the Furious had a couple of very strong rounds that the others didn't (including the only perfect round outside round 6) & that made all the difference. They take 1st by the skin of their teeth & grab another W! I Lost My Virginity At... takes the bronze! Golden Gordons takes the silver! & The Pred8 of the Furious takes the gold & are the current 2 week reigning champs!
