QUIZ RECAP

I'd love to say that it was a beautiful day in our neighbourhood, but I'd be a right fibber if I did.  While the weather did clear up for our eclipse viewing this week, it has decided to double down on our motto as "Rainier than Seattle" to make up for the kindness.  However, 15 bright and shining teams still managed to paddle down to Aslin for the fun, and fun we did have.

It was a right squeaker there for a bit, with our top 5 teams all in the top 3 spots at some point during the game, but Birthday Babes got their wish and took first tonight, barely beating out Super Mega and Missing Julianna for the privilege.  I'm guessing that when Julianna comes back, everyone has a force to be reckoned with!

What did we learn?  The neat part this week was that a team, when naming the countries that have tigers in them, gave a shot out to Laos, which was not only correct, but deserved a little party.  My partner is usually hanging out losing trivia while writing poetry, but he's out of town this week organizing an exhibit on Laos where he's from.  He's super proud of you all.

We had many wrong answers this evening, but only one receives the coveted Wrong Answer of the Game!  This time it's a two-fer, with the same team answering "That one dude in Shrek" for one answer and then missing that Shrek was our theme in the connection round!  Nice work, my little donkeys.  😉

Have a spectacular week and stay dry out there.  We're under another flood warning for the weekend.

Oh, and Bingo (at least Music Bingo) is still on Tuesdays!  😉
