About Bar Charlie

Bar Charlie landed in the North Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle in December 2016. Bar Charlie aims to be a comfortable neighborhood bar featuring beers, food and spirits crafted in the greater Pacific Northwest.

Bar Charlie's interior concept is inspired by the history of the De Havilland Beaver Seaplane and is a mix of actual seaplane parts, wood, concrete and metal.  The walls have photography and art detailing the history of Seaplanes on Lake Union.

Bar Charlie was created by Christian Thomason with mentoring and construction assistance from Chris Navarra.

Bar Charlie evolved out of the desire to do something more than tackle an endless mountain of bureaucratic paperwork.  It’s intended to be a neighborhood gathering spot, a place to unwind with good drinks and food.

What a fun night of trivia!

We started out with a great group of 6 teams. Risk it for the Biscuit started out the night in Round 1 with all correct answers and the two bonus points for being registered on KingTrivia.com - coming out of the gates with guns blazing! They had all that General Knowledge on lock.

Round 2 was a bit tougher, those WWE actors had a few teams scratching their heads.

In Round 3, Platinum Blondes showed off their Dragon knowledge, getting all 6 answers correct; whereas Riff Raff were a little too overzealous in their use of the double-or-nothing, and was off by 1 answer, earning them 0 points that round.

Risk it for the Biscuit maintained their top score by turning in their Round 4 answer after just one clue, and scoring all 10 points for the round - they definitely know their Lion King!

Only Team 5-1-0 was able to find the connection in the Round 5 answers, but it wasn't until Round 6 that they were able to steal the lead from Risk it for the Biscuit. The matching round of Castles to Countries in combination with their double-or-nothing excellence put Team 5-1-0 in the top spot.

And finally in Round 7, three teams went double-or-nothing, but only one of them reaped the benefits, getting all the answers right! This only proved to put Team 5-1-0 further ahead of the pack in 1st place.

Risk it for the Biscuit followed them in 2nd place, and then in 3rd it was Gin Quizzes!

Thank you all for coming out and making it a fun night! See you again next week, same time, same place 🙂
