MARVEL THEMED EVENT RECAP

Avengers, Asgardians and A-Holes gathered on Saturday to try and wield the Infinity Gauntlet of Trivia and take their competitor's money all with a snap of their fingers. It was a tumultuous game as players journeyed through the Quantum Realm in an effort to answer the questions thrown at them by the most recent champion of Sakaar, their very own Grandmaster: me. Pinpointing Miek's alien race, matching "Blitzkrieg Bop" to Spider-Man: Homecoming, and identifying Sanctuary II as Thanos' preferred mode of transportation proved tricky enough but players were firmly fired up in their Quinjets and eager to avoid Ragnarok as points were at an all time high leading into Round 5. As teams had to decide whether to use their Pym Particles to double the size of their points, the questions got harder in a salute to Stan "The Man" himself. Matching his cameos across the 21 films left many in a good position for the final round tonight while others clung desperately to a True or False themed Marvel Comics round that would allow their losing team to nurse wounds with Thor's preferred choice of mead. But only one team can wield the Gauntlet and decimate the rest: THE REVENGERS VOL 2! As other teams tried to clean up the dust left in the wake of their victory, The Revengers Vol 2 delivered their Endgame with a successful final double that secured the lead and allowed the fate of the universe to be placed into their hands. While it may have been a Fail Hydra for most of our other teams playing tonight, we're all Merry Marvel fans at heart and the Avengers QuizGame was declared a rousing success from Burbank to Wakanda. Thanks to an exceptional group of super players for an incredibly fun afternoon - after party at Stark's Malibu mansion! Excelsior!
