I've got a hunch that all my King Trivia players gave up drinking for their New Year's resolutions, which would explain why I didn't see any of you last week. But nearly all resolutions quickly die, so it was great having you all back chugging beers, being merry, and giving your brains some much-needed exercise!
Most of you were stumped by our Bull Banner and Eddie Murphy rounds (considering the types of movies he's been in, no one blames you; it's a testament to your impeccable taste in, ya know, GOOD movies!). But everyone excelled in general knowledge, food characters, Drew Barrymore, land borders, and our super clever Round Five connection!
Burt Macklin FBI missed placing by three measly points -- which is incredibly well for being up against a team of eight! Hop On My Jetski took home third place and a free round of Bud Light for being the last team standing to come up with one-word movie titles. Knobheads got some pre-Tournament of Champions practice in, losing to the new guy from Washington D.C., Government Shutdown = More Drinking Time, who doubled down successfully three times tonight, taking home the first place prize!
