QUIZ RECAP

It was another great night of King Trivia at Cactus Jacks this week! Filling in for the everpopular Madison, I had the pleasure of hosting 7 teams at trivia this evening.

What an exciting evening of trivia we had. For starters, all teams got a perfect score in the first round, with some teams choosing to double-or-nothing! Not sure I've ever experienced that in my years of participating in/hosting trivia.

In first place, we had FSC, who managed to overtake the former 5-in-a-row champions All the Dicks in the final round. Largely in part to some friendly peer pressure from their trivia colleagues at the bar, FSC chose to submit their Guess Who round answer after the first clue, which ended up being the eventual difference maker between first and second place. The aforementioned All the Dicks played a fantastic game as well, leading for most of the game through the use of several successful double-or-nothing rounds.

We had a third place tie between Whiskeypedia (aka as "What's the scores?" team) and first time King Trivia participants We know Jack. Whiskeypedia pretty much nailed the tiebreaker (were off by about 1%, which is wild). Hats off to We know Jack, who really stormed back into the game the second half, which is amazing considering their best performance came post-beer tower. Hey, I guess that's why they call it bar trivia.

Quick shout out to teams Curly Fry (the best tasting team name), Volleyballers, and Phil & The Buttercups for respectable performances as well. This trivia host particularly admires Volleyballers and Phil & The Buttercups for each doubling or nothing in 2 of the last 3 rounds.

Thank you all so much for playing. And even more so, thank you to Rome, Aiden, and Meg for making sure everyone was getting delicious food and drinks all night. They were the real rockstars.
