About Cismontane Brewing Company

Cismontane Brewing Co. was started by two native southern Californians, Ross Stewart and Evan Weinberg. They chose the name Cismontane because the geographical area it represents, coastal Southern California from Santa Barbara to San Diego. As a brewery we are dedicated to creating the finest beers to represent the unique culture and diverse natural aspects of this region. Each beer is named after a local feature that is unique to the area.

 

The Brewery is located on the side of the largest mountain in Orange County in the city of Rancho Santa Margarita. The great views from Santiago peak and the trails through the canyons provide some of the natural inspiration for the beers and the company.

 

The brewery is small and accessible to all with a warm and comfortable tasting area. So don’t hesitate to come by when in the area.

For the first half of the night, we had a very conservative game with only 1 double attempted until round 5. The second half of the game was much more chaotic with shakeups in all of the last 3 rounds.

The Rural Jurors were perhaps the biggest victim of the shakeups as they were knocked out of the top 3 in the final round (being in 1st at one point after round 4).

The Fresh Dumps carried the lead until round 4 where they received a -1 for an incorrect answer in the Guess Who round. They successfully doubled in round 5, but it was not enough to take back the lead as Epic Fail also doubled. It seemed like they were going to glide into a 2nd place finish until The Trivialities stole that from them in the last round. The Fresh Dumps still end up with a respectful 3rd place finish.

The Trivialities took a back seat most of the game, not breaking into the top 3 until the final round, which was done with 2 solid high scores in rounds 5 & 6 & an extremely well timed double in round 7 (the only team to successfully do this in the last round). The gamble pays off big time & they steal the silver.

Epic Fail started off with a weak round 1, but quickly made up for it with very impressive scores in every other round including a successful double in round 5, which kept The Fresh Dumps at bay & catapulted them into 1st where they would remain the rest of the game. They are the champions of the night!
