QUIZ RECAP

On May 1st College Bar rang in spring with seven teams to test their strength in trivia.

In Round 1 our teams were all so close to being tied! Country Folk were in the lead with 7 points (after having counted their team number into the score) while Tiana Is OK was just a point behind with 6 points meaning they had gotten every question correct in this round. The Quizards of Waverly Place finished this round in third place with 5 points. In fourth place there was a three-way tie between Megadebts: The Grad Band, Stepdads, and Tyson Tigers. In last place at the end of our first round was #TrustTheProcess.

Our teams were pretty evenly split in their knowledge of reality tv, many believe that our image of 90 Day Fiance was actually Married at First Sight. The maximum amount of points that had been earned in this round was 6 points to Country Folk and Quizards of Waverly Place. While the least amount of points earned was a flat 0.

Round 3 proved to be challenging to some teams who didn't pay attention to the rules that were explained at the beginning of the round but everyone still did very well in this round. Tiana Is OK was able to get every answer correct in this round bringing their total score up to 15 points, which put them in third place behind Quizards of Waverly Place with 16 points and Country Folk with 17 points. Stepdads were in fourth place with 13 points, #TTP was in fifth with 12 points, Tyson Tigers in sixth with 11 points, and Megadebts in seventh with 7 points.

Our Guess Who round was explosive with everyone turning in their answers before the final clue. Tiana Is OK and #TTP guessed Elon Musk correctly after just the first clue, bringing in 10 points for their teams! Tyson Tigers were next to turn in their answer and earned 8 points for their team. Country Folk and Quizards of Waverly Place each earned 6 points for their teams. Megadebts guessed correctly after the fourth clue, earning 4 points. The only team to guess incorrectly was Stepdads who guessed Bill Gates as our mystery individual and after their incorrect guess had decided to drop out of the game finishing off with a total of 12 points.

Round 5 was fairly difficult for these teams but only one was able to correctly guess all answers including the connection! This team was Country Folk and they also chose to play their Double or Nothing in this round earning their team 20 additional points! This brought them into a solid first place with 43 points. Tiana is okay was in second place with 33 points after only missing 2 questions in Round 5. In third place was the Quizards of Waverly Place with 29 points, this team has also been absolved by a new group of players as the initial team decided to drop out. In fourth place was the Tyson Tigers who got a little more than half of the answers corect for this round which made their total score 25 points. #TTP maintained their score of 22 points after applying their Double of Nothing in this round, they unfortunately had only missed 1 of their written answers which means they were unable to earn any points this round, they would also be dropping out after this round finishing their game with 22 points. In sixth place was Megadebts with 18 points.

In Round 6, 3 of our remaining 5 teams got each of the answers correct. Tiana Is OK wisely played their Double or Nothing for this round and earned 20 points for their team, which brought them to a tie for first place against Country Folk, who also got all answers correct for this round. The two teams were tied for 53 points. The Quizards of Waverly Place were the other team to get all answers correct this round which brought their score to 39 points. The Tyson Tigers were in fourth with 33 points after only missing 2 questions this round. Megadebts came in fifth with 25 points. While #TTP remaining in sixth with their 22 points and Stepdads in seventh with 12 points.

In Round 7 Tiana Is OK and Country Folk continued their tie for first place after both teams got all answers correct in this round meaning both teams now had 65 points total. Quizards of Waverly Place used their Double or Nothing in this round and had it not been for their Cheeseburger Pringles answer they would have earned all those points, however they earned 0.

After Round 7 in first place was Tiana Is OK and Country Folk with 65 points. In second was Tyson Tigers with 42 points. Third went to the Quizards of Waverly Place with 39 points. Fourth with 32 points was Megadebts: The Grad Band. Fifth was #TrustTheProcess with their 22 points and in sixth place was Stepdads with 12 points.

Due to the tie for first, 1 representative from each team came to the front to answer our tie breaking question which asked, "How many rooms and suites are in the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas?" Tiana Is OK guess roughly 300 while Country Folk guessed closer to 400. While both were very far off from the correct answer, which was 4,049, the first place prize went to Country Folk for being just that small bit closer.
