QUIZ RECAP
It was a quite Wednesday this week as 4 teams battled in trivial pursuit. Our teams for the evening were Pitter Patter, Team Domestic Violence, Uno, and Patchy the Pirate & Friends/MPG.
In Round 1 our teams had a fairly confident start, our most commonly missed question asked what coffee brand coined the slogan "Good to the Last Drop". Most teams put Folgers, however the correct answer was Maxwell House. At the end of this first round Pitter Patter was in first place with 7 points, we had a tie for second between Team Domestic Violence and Patchy the Pirate & Friends/MPG each with 6 points, while Uno had earned 2 points in the round.
Round 2 was a bit tricky for all of our teams last night as they were asked to name the film or TV series that featured the waitresses who's pictures were being shown. The most amount of points earned in this round was 5 points to Patchy the Pirate & Friends/MPG.
In Round 3 teams were asked questions that would somehow relate to round things. Patchy the Pirate & Friends/MPG had decided to play their Double or Nothing for this round and unfortunately missed one of their answers, leaving them with no additional points. By this point Pitter Patter was holding on to first place now with 16 points. In second we had Team Domestic Violence with 14 points, in third Patchy the Pirate & Friends/MPG with 11 points, and in fourth was Uno now with 7 points.
In Round 4 our teams had to identify a mystery film. Many of them were stumped on this round, our first answer sheet wasn't brought up until after the third clue! Team Domestic Violence was able to earn 6 points in this round, while the rest of our teams got it after the fourth clue meaning they all got 4 points. The film they were trying to identify was The Dark Knight. After this round Patchy the Pirate & Friends/MPG and Uno both dropped out of the game.
In Round 5 players had to find the connection between the answers of questions 1-9 and state the commonality for answer 10. Team Domestic Violence got 7 answers correct while Pitter Patter earned 6 points. At the end of this round Team Domestic Violence was in first place with 27 points while Pitter Patter was just a touch behind with 26 points! Our drop out teams finished the game with Patchy the Pirate & Friends/MPG at 15 points and Uno at 11.
In Round 6 both of our teams chose to play their Double or Nothings after matching 2019 MLB All-Stars to their teams (at the time of the game). This worked in favor for both teams as they doubled their earned scores!
Our final round asked 2 questions of our teams; to name the 7 independent countries that end in -stan and the names of the good fairies from Sleeping Beauty. Pitter Patter was able to earn 6 points while Team Domestic Violence gained 5 extra points.
In the end Team Domestic Violence spread their message of anti-violence while beating all of the other teams and finished in first place with 54 points. Behind them was Pitter Patter with 52 points. And our dropouts at 15 and 11 to Patchy the Pirate & Friends/MPG and Uno respectively.
