Common Theory is the embodiment of what we love. An appetite for quality craft beer, delicious food, and the joint consumption of the two in a comfortable and homey atmosphere.

Showcasing a blend of San Diego and coastal California selections with out-of-state brews to boot, the tap system at Common Theory features a rotating selection of over 30 craft beers on tap. With the variety of brews paired with a knowledgeable staff, beer aficionados and craft beer newbies are sure to find a new brew! Displayed on the chalkboard overlooking the tap system, cozy up to the bar for a brew or find refuge at a multitude of communal tables and couches. Revolving around the theory of simplicity, the kitchen at the beer-centric eatery doles out cuisine inspired by the diversity of California. The global menu features Duck Fat Fries (in three mouthwatering sizes), Buffalo Cauliflower, and a hearty bowl of polenta topped with crispy pork belly and shredded duck confit. It’s pub-style food with an upscale twist, a perfect pairing with a cold glass of beer!

It was a rocking night of trivia at the awesome venue Common Theory Public House. We had seven teams play and two teams joined late. The team that won last week came again and changed their team name in honor of comic-con, hence the really long team name of DarknightsKingsmanWatchmeninblackpantherRangnorock to DuaneJohnson!

Last week they were team Thai Curry..Me out of Here. This team brought more players this week and it came down to the final round where they scored 7 to take the one point victory over team Play on Words with the first place prize of $20 gift card.

Team Tetrahedral Earth Society, also a team from last week finished third respectfully, taking home a t-shirt as a prize.

The top three teams all gambled double or nothing on rounds, each of them hitting at least once, with the winning team hitting it twice.

The top team and the third place team also were able to recover from a miss on a double or nothing bet.

Congrats to all the teams. I hope to see you all next week and register your teams for that extra two points.

Bring your friends, bring your boy, bring your girl, bring your mom, heck bring someone you don't like so you can show how much smarter you are than them, lol.
