Howdy y’all. We can’t wait to have ya come kick up your boots and stay awhile at El Tejano, Los Angeles’ ultimate Tex Mex hangout. The plan is to serve the usual suspects: enchiladas, queso, Frito Pie, in and amazing indoor/outdoor relaxed environment. And don’t forget the margaritas: frozen, on the rocks, with a beer in it for all we care. Just get here quick for great grub and a huge outdoor patio chalk full of games to play and TVs to watch.
As the evening weather in NoHo began to cool, the patio at 33 Taps fills with teams who gather to watch the baby bears play sportball, and more importantly to battle their mental mights against each other in a quiz to the death! Ok, not death. To the pain? What's the opposite of that that still sounds dramatic...
Scores were close across the board all night, with this being the first game I've ever hosted with not ONE successful double-or-nothing wager! Nevertheless, Slightly Incestuous still managed to eke out a win over second place team JV (who would have tied for first if only they'd gotten an official team number!). Turd Ferguson grabbed third place despite an early unsuccessful double-or-nothing wager, and seemed pretty happy about the comeback.
Stay tuned for news about where we're playing in future weeks! I'm told the patio is getting a whole big outdoor heater system, so maybe we'll be staying out there? Weather always permitting, of course...
