Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. In honor of Father's Day, we had a special quizmaster in training tonight - my son Zephyr! Due to teams repeatedly not understanding the questions when he asked, Zephyr will unfortunately not be back next week.

Quiztopher Walkin took home the easy win due to their experience with their own kid. They were previously the only other team to bring a baby to Grunions so they were not thrown off at all by the presence of a child. They also took home some free beer in a blackjack themed drinking round. It was originally going to be a game of Sabacc (the game Han Solo played to win the Millenium Falcon), but our crowd was just not on that level of nerdom.
